Medical Malpractice: Failure to Diagnose Pulmonary Embolism
July 2016
Jim's clients were the family of a person who passed away from a pulmonary embolism. In the two weeks prior to the patient's death, he was repeatedly seen by his primary care doctor and a cardiologist for increasing shortness of breath. The case centered on whether the primary care doctor and cardiologist failed to suspect a pulmonary embolism so to send the patient to the hospital for further testing. The case settled for a confidential amount.
